Oral Presentations

Presentation slides format (standard, compact and lightning talks)

  • Aspect ratio: 16:9
  • File format: PowerPoint (preferred) or PDF
  • Please ensure any complex media (e.g. videos, animations) are checked at the Speakers’ Preparation Desk at least 3 hours prior to your presentation.


Standard Oral Presentations

  • Total time: 15 minutes
  • 12 minutes presentation
  • 3 minutes Q&A

Compact Talks

  • Total time: 7 minutes
  • Presenters should plan to finish within the allocated time.
  • Q&A arrangements (if any) will be managed by the session chair.

Lightning Lectures

Lightning lectures provide a brief introduction or summary of your research and are linked to a poster presented during one of the poster sessions.

Presentation Upload Instructions

To ensure the program runs smoothly, please upload your presentation file at least 12 hours before your scheduled presentation time.

File naming convention

Use the following format exactly:

  • DAY_SESSION#_TIME_LASTNAME
  • Use 24-hour time (e.g. 15:30)
  • Example: TUES_4.0_15:30_CLARKE


Upload process

We have a large number of presentations so we ask that you please stick to the process to ensure that the program runs smoothly.

1. Upload your presentation to the AMOS 2026 Dropbox folder.

2. Select ‘Add files’, locate your file, and click ‘Upload’ to complete the process.

3. Once uploaded, you will not be able to edit or remove the file.

4. If you need to upload a revised version, use the same filename and add a version number, for example: TUES_4.0_15:30_CLARKE_V2

Presenters SHOULD upload their presentation in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly. Presentations may be brought on a USB stick to the speakers prep area/room if you have problems uploading. These must be done at least 3 hours before you presentation. If you have a complex or multimedia presentation, please check with speakers prep at least 4 hours in advance to ensure it will display correctly.

Poster Presentations

Presenters will be assigned a poster number corresponding to a specific poster board.

Each poster will be on general display for two days during the conference, with dedicated poster sessions scheduled in the afternoon as outlined below. We ask that posters be removed at the end of each display session.

Session 1

  • General display: Tuesday–Wednesday
  • Poster Session 1: 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm, Wednesday 18

Session 2

  • General display: Thursday–Friday
  • Poster Session 2: 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm, Thursday 18

Poster Format

  • Orientation: Portrait
  • Maximum size: A0 (841 mm × 1189 mm)

Posters should be clear and understandable without oral explanation and must include:

  • Title
  • Author names
  • Affiliated organisation(s)

Text should be concise, with methods and key messages clearly presented.

Poster Display

  • Posters can be affixed to boards using Velcro.
  • Velcro dots will be available from the AMOS registration desk.
